23rd Sunday of Ordinary Time – Year B – Sunday, 6th September 2015
In today’s Gospel Jesus makes a clear point that our speaking, our hearing and our actions flow form our hearts.
That is the spiritual centre personally and as a community and as a nation.
Only if our hearts are open do we hear rightly.
Who of us was not moved by the tragedy of the sight of Aylan Kurdi fleeing Syria for a better life – the three year old boy who drowned together with his mother Rehan and five year old brother Galip.
Isn’t it time we as a country reached out to refugees as Peter Fraser did for the Polish orphans during the Second World War?
